The towel bar is made from type 304, 18 8 alloy, 20 gauge stainless steel tubing that measures 1 inch in diameter. The bar is securely welded to support posts at either end. These posts are fashioned out of solid cast brass. The design of the unit prevents the towel bar from rotating

Make sure you order the right size. I received Small size & not Large. My fault. But, it still fit ok, a little snug, yet it made me feel warm when I went outside. I will be ordering a large size in the near future. Some one else in the family will get the small size item.
