I am that mom that makes her family dress up as a group for Halloween. I let my kids pick their own outfits for school/day, but at night we dress up as a family. The material isn't thick but not super thin either, the thickness of a standard cotton tee. The white stripes are not see through. The shirt is a perfect match for the Pugsley costume. I'm so glad i purchased this vs the entire costume since my son has black shorts. My son said it was comfortable.
