Thistle Leaf Kilt Pin (KP4)Modern Scottish thistle leaf kilt pin with butterfly snap closures. A kilt pin is a complimentary accessory to any kilt and should only be fastened through the top layer on the Kilt referred to as the apron. This acts as a weight to keep the top layer of fabric from lifting and deters damage to the under layers of the kilt. Your kilt pin should be placed at the bottom right hand side of your kilt and typically 2 3 from the bottom of the kilt.

I ordered two of these to give me a little more room on my sewing table. One for the backside and one for the left side. Worked out great! Very sturdy and not hard to install (followed directions). The oak that this is made of is very nice. The little bit of extra counter space is nice. The problem is the bracket to hold it up is kind of small and flimsy, so the shelf won't bear much weight.
