This is a great book with a positive message about perseverance. I really enjoyed that the author used more than one example of what perseverance looks like and that not everyone will be an absolute expert right away, or even after a year. We all go through struggles in various stages of our lives and this is a good reminder for kids as well as the parent who might be reading to their child to have a positive mind-set. The art is very well done and enhances the story nicely. Well done and I recommend!

I have read a few of Elizabeth Cole’s books, so I was pretty sure that this would be another great children’s book. I wasn’t disappointed. He gives Nick several examples of people, including his mom and his friend, who persevered and achieved their goals. It’s important to teach children that failure is part of life and that practice is important. This book does that well! Perseverance Makes me Stronger is told in rhymes and the illustrations are cute and colorful. It helps children to learn that failure is part of life, and we need to practice in order to achieve our goals.
