I love Richard Scarry! I bought this book for my 18 month old, who we are trying to teach to say please and thank you. Unfortunately this book is just way too advanced for her. It's full on stories rather than short pieces. I know, the suggested age was older but that is true for a lot of books that really can be enjoyed by younger tots. This one will be put away for at least another 6 months, and then kept on the shelf of "appropriate" but not in her board book box. However, I really like that she can now say "Lowly" :) Richard Scarry is one of my favorite authors/illustrators from childhood and I'm glad to have this book. It just is beyond the reach of my LO at this age.

Having loved Richard Scarry books as a child in the 70's, I was thrilled when he regained popularity in the 90's when we were raising our children. Every page has so many beautifully illustrated details so there are always new things to look at and discover.
