The pad is glued to the squab frame and then needs to be trimmed to follow the outer edge of the frame. The white wadding material is then laid over this edge and softens the edge of the pad before the seat cover is fitted. Update- turns out it was my cups. The tape actually works great! I am normally a big fan of the HTVFront Products, but this one disappoints me. I use the tape to make sublimation cups and loved the idea of the clear tape (some will leave marks on the cup.) This does not stick to the cups, it will stick to the paper but not the cups. So disappointed. :(
