As you might guess thanks to the mother of toilet seat finish, this Silvertone lapsteel is about as funky cool as it gets. It appears to be all original and in pretty good shape for its age. decent product. not as thick as typical sound deadening but definitely cheaper. and for my application, i didnt need a name brand thicker material. i am putting it on our heat and ac vent and intake pipes during our remodel. sound travels from room to room in our old house through these vents and pipes so a little sound deadening goes a long way

Buy the individual cross cut sheets, not these rolls.

I ordered two different types, individually cross cut foil rectangular pieces and these rolls both containing 36. sq. ft. The cross cut sheet blows this away. This stuff is much thinner, much less butyl rubber, much flimsier foil, and needs twice as much to have the same effect. Once you put it on, you cant remove it. The other brand's 2mm is much thicker than this.
