Directions were pictures and words that are large enough for me to read. I liked the lower cost and the shipping packaging was great. I’m too big to even try the recliner. I’m sure it would do it but I have had some bad experiences in the past. Don’t be fooled by reviews that state the wheels don’t move. They do. I would buy this chair again
