The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with a Viton rubber material designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. It does get thick and goopy. But in order for it to work I have to take 2 teaspoons as opposed to the 1 teaspoon with the other artificial sweetener version. So I’d rather do 2 teaspoons with Stevia. Results, however, for me have been inconsistent. That is not the case for me with the one that contains an artificial sweetener.
