Nitrile rubber can tolerate short term dry running of the sealing lip. The operating temperature range without failure of nitrile rubber is 40 to +100 C. Save your plastic cage on the factory filter
This fit the plastic holder that comes with the factory filter. Make sure that you don’t discard the plastic “cage” that is on the factory filter. Reuse the cage with this filter.
